3 large bananas, peeled and cut in half vertically and horizontally.
3 TBSP salted butter
4 TBSP dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/5 tsp cinnamon
4 oz Bacardi Gold
fresh orange zest (about half and orange worth)
vanilla ice cream
Place iron skillet on stove. Add butter and melt on medium heat. when butter starts sizzling and browning a bit, add the brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Simmer untilt he sugar dissolves and add the banana slices. Cook the banana slices for about 1-2 minutes per side. Each side shoud start to turn golden before you flip the banana. remove bananas and set aside.
Turn off the burner and add the rum. Light the contents of the pan with a lighter--very carefully, making sure you tilt the pan and keep it away from your face and other fire hazards. The fire will burn down on its own once the rum is cooked out.
Once the fire is completely out, set pan down. Using tongs, take the set aside bananas and place them on a plate. drizzle the bananas with the delicious hot sauce and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle with orange zest and serve immediately.
