Cakeless Ice Cream Cake

2 Quarts of a nice hard ice cream--any flavor (I use chocolate chip). (Don't use Blue RIbbon brand in a bucket--TOO SOFT!)
1 jar of Hot fudge sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 TBSP sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 jar maraschino cherries
1 cake plate with lid
NOTE: If you can find a bucket ice cream brand that is solid and hard, buy a bucket of ice cream. Otherwise, buy 2 quarts and place them into a new container together to form a shape of a round or square cake and let set in the freezer for at least 3 hours before decorating.
In a stand alone mixer or a bowl with a hand mixer, mix heavy cream, sugar and vanilla on medium until whipped and creamy (about 3-5 minutes). Set aside in refrigerator.
Refrigerate fudge for at least 2 hours. Empty jar of fudge into a piping bag. Set aside in refrigerator until ready to use.
Open cherries. Drain cherries and place them on a paper towel to let dry a bit.
After ice cream is shaped and set into the cake shape you want (square or round) and hard and frozen, remove it from the freezer.
Remove the whipped cream from the refrigerator and ice the frozen ice cream shape with a thin layer of the whipping cream. Cover all the surfaces. this helps the fudge to stick! Freeze for 30 inutes to an hour.
Remove whipped cream covered ice cream block from the freezer and remove fudge piping bag from the refrigerator. In any design you want ( I covered the entire cake top with the star tip, But be creative!) Pipe fudge around the base of the cake and in any place you want. (The sides aren't very practical since it wants to slide off.)
Work quickly and place the lid on the cake plate over this ice cream and freeze for at least 2 hours. Remove from freezer and place cherries on top of the fudge, in any design you would like! Serve fully frozen!
