Hummus

There is no descriptive word to use in the title of this since no word can describe the level of delicious this hummus recipe is! Save money and make it at home. You get more for your $! You can add anything to this to make it flavored (garlic, red pepper, hot pepper, etc.) This is classic hummus. #hummus #sonomnom4u #freshhummus #besthummus

Ingredients:

2 cans of garbanzo beans, strained and rinsed completely

1/2 cup Tahini (sesame paste)

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (plus a drizzle for the top!)

juice of 1 lemon

1-3 garlic cloves (3 is spicy and garlic-y!)

1 tsp salt

sprinkle of cumin


Directions for super creamy hummus:

Cook the drained, rinsed garbanzo beans for about 20 minutes in a pot of water. Drain them and cool them completely.

Add completely cooled garbanzo beans, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and tahini into a blender or food processor. Pulse until completely smooth. Scrape out into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with cumin. Serve with pita, pita chips, or fresh cut veggies!

This makes a bit of a thicker, yet still creamy hummus!

Add rised, strained garbanzo beans, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and tahini into a blender or food processor. Add about 1/4 cup water. Pulse until completely smooth. Scrape out into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with cumin. Serve with pita bread, pita chips, or fresh cut veggies!
